Te Rau Aroha Alignment Course Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for a House of Rehua course, workshop, wānanga, retreat, online programme, or practitioner certification programme, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

2. Course Fees and Payment

Full payment is required to secure your place unless an alternative payment arrangement has been agreed to in writing.

Your enrolment is not confirmed until payment has been received.

House of Rehua® reserves the right to refuse entry to participants whose fees remain unpaid.

3. Participant Cancellations

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing by emailing admin@houseofrehua.com.

 

The following cancellation policy applies:

  • More than 7 days before the course start date: refund available less a $100 administration fee.

  • Within 7 days of the course start date: course fees are non-refundable.

  • Same-day cancellations and non-attendance: course fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

House of Rehua® may, at its sole discretion, consider exceptional circumstances on a case-by-case basis.

4. Participant Transfers

Participants may request to transfer their enrolment to another scheduled course date, subject to availability.

A $50 administration fee may apply to participant-requested transfers.

Transfer requests must be submitted before the course commences.

5. Course Cancellation or Postponement by House of Rehua

House of Rehua reserves the right to cancel, postpone, reschedule, relocate, or change a course due to:

  • Insufficient enrolment numbers

  • Facilitator illness

  • Venue changes

  • Severe weather events

  • Public health events

  • Natural disasters

  • Circumstances beyond our reasonable control

 

If House of Rehua cancels or postpones a course, participants will be offered the option to:

  • Transfer to another course date at no additional cost, or

  • Receive a full refund of course fees already paid.

6. Travel and Accommodation

Participants are responsible for arranging and paying for their own:

  • Travel

  • Accommodation

  • Meals

  • Childcare

  • Other incidental expenses

Participants should confirm that the course is proceeding before making non-refundable travel or accommodation arrangements.

Except where required by law, House of Rehua is not responsible for reimbursing travel, accommodation, meal, or other incidental expenses.

7. Attendance Requirements

Participants are expected to attend all scheduled sessions.

Certification may be withheld if attendance requirements are not met.

House of Rehua™ reserves the right to require participants to complete additional learning or attend future sessions before certification is awarded.



8. Online Learning Requirements

Where a course includes online learning, participants are responsible for ensuring they have:

  • A reliable internet connection

  • Appropriate devices

  • Access to any required software or online platforms

Technical issues outside the control of House of Rehua do not automatically qualify participants for refunds.

9. Intellectual Property

All course materials, presentations, videos, handbooks, worksheets, assessments, rituals, practices, frameworks, methodologies, and teaching resources remain the intellectual property of House of Rehua.

Course materials are provided for personal educational use only.

Participants may not:

  • Copy

  • Reproduce

  • Record

  • Distribute

  • Sell

  • Republish

  • Share

Any House of Rehua® course materials without prior written permission.

10. Recording and Photography

Participants may not record audio or video during any course, workshop, or wānanga without prior written permission.

House of Rehua may occasionally take photographs or video for promotional purposes.

Participants who do not wish to appear in photographs or recordings must notify House of Rehua before the course begins.


11. Participant Conduct

House of Rehua is committed to creating a safe, respectful, and culturally appropriate learning environment.

Participants are expected to:

  • Treat facilitators and other participants with respect

  • Maintain appropriate behaviour

  • Follow all venue requirements

  • Respect tikanga and cultural protocols

House of Rehua reserves the right to remove any participant whose behaviour negatively affects the safety or wellbeing of others.

12. Confidentiality

Participants acknowledge that personal stories, experiences, cultural knowledge, healing journeys, and discussions may be shared during the course.

Participants agree to maintain the confidentiality and privacy of all other participants.

13. Practitioner Certification

Completion of a course does not automatically guarantee certification.

Participants may be required to complete assessments, practical requirements, case studies, supervision, or other programme requirements before certification is awarded.

The decision to award certification rests solely with House of Rehua.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by New Zealand law, House of Rehua will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from participation in a course.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts, or limits any rights available under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the Fair Trading Act 1986, or any other applicable New Zealand legislation.

15. Changes to These Terms

House of Rehua reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.

The version published at the time of enrolment will apply to that enrolment.
